EX-PUPILS’ BALL

St. Philomena’s College The St. Philomena’s College Ex-pupils' Association held its annual ball in the Crawford Lounge last Wednesday night The guests were received by the president, Miss D. McDowell, who wore a skirt of black velvet, with a tartan taffeta top and a shoulder spray of flowers to tone. Assisting the president were the hostesses. Mrs P. Walsh, wearing a gown of blue moss crepe with matching flowers, and Mrs J. S. D. More, whose frock was pale blue satin, with wine floral pattern The ex-pupil associations from other colleges were represented by Mrs R. E Martin, St. Hilda’s (cyclamen velvet); Mrs F. Toomey, St. Dominic’s (floral blue damask taffeta); Miss F. « Stokes, St Catherine's College, Invercargill (Marina blue crepe, with wine beading). Other committee members of the association also present were Misses N. Brennan. N. Cull, T. Paterson, M. McKeown and P Ryan.
