Annual Census Returns
Census forms have been posted to the secretaries of all Scout groups. Groups failing to make this return automatically cease to be recognised as a unit of the movement. The census will be taken on June 22, and two copies of each return must reach the district secretary by June 30. Scout groups are asked to hold their annual meeting before June 30, as the Scout financial year ends at that date.
A report of the second South Island Lay Members’ Conference in Dunedin has been posted to all group secretaries. Secretaries are asked to pass these around members of the committee. “ The Left Handshake,” a story of British Scouts during the war, is now available at the Scout shop. All Cub packs resume meeting this eek and Scout troops which have been in recess will commence activities again.
