Bidwell, showed promise by winning the first division of the Matrons’ Handicap from Furore and Tabor at Moonee Valley. Bidwell; who has had only three previous starts, ran like a veteran in fourth place for the first four furlongs, and then moved into the lead in the straight without effort.
