FOXBRIDGE COLT WINS
RACING AT MOONEE VALLEY Rec. 7 p.rrt. MELBOURNE, May 29. Starting at odds on, the New Zealander. Bidwell, showed promise by winning the first division of the Matrons’ Handicap from Furore and Tabor at Moonee Valley. Bidwell; who has had only three previous starts, ran like a veteran in fourth place for the first four furlongs, and then moved into the lead in the straight without effort. Bidwell's owner, the former picture magnate, Mr W. R. Kemball, has spent £30,000 on New Zealand yearlings in the past three years, including 3000gns spent on Bidwell. Like Mr Kemball’s other crack three-year-old, Ellerslie, Bidwell is a Foxbridge colt. Result; — Bidwell, 8.0 (Williamson). 1; Furore, 7.9 (Unkovich). 2; Tabor, 7.9 (Hutchinson), 3. Thirteen started.
