GERMAN WAR PRISONER RECAPTURED
Rec. 8 p.m. SYDNEY, May 26. After two years at large, an escaped German prisoner of war, Richard Carl Schmidt, aged 46, was recaptured at Cowra, mid-west New South Wales. He escaped from the detention barracks in Victoria after having been interned in South Australia.
