SUNDAY ACTIVITIES

Sir,—On the same page of to-day’s paper I notice two prominently-displayed items of news. The first concerns unauthorised Sunday games, which the City Council intends to stop. The other item concerns the new air service to Alexandra, which town is to be visited next Sunday by three prominent officials of National Airways. Of recent yearS the powers-that-be have rightly discouraged unnecessary Sunday activities, and in these days when the moral bulwarks of our civilisation are often being assailed, might it not be asked of responsible officials that they set a good example and refrain from misuse of our Sunday, by confining their commercial activities to six days in the week? —I am. etc.. I Wonder?
