ROAD RACE
GREEN ISLAND CYCLING CLUB
The Green Island Cycling Club held a race from Green Island to Allanton and return, a distance of 16 miles. As It was the firs me that the riders had to negotiate Saddle Hill this season many found suing strenuous. The youngest rider to be handicapped was J. Deans. Two brotheis, uick and Ray Owens, again performed well, as also did M. Bambery. Results;—R. Carvell (3min) I. W. Whiston (2min) 2, D. Owens (Bmin) 3, K. Gordon (Bmin) 4, M. Bambery (lOmin) 5. Fastest time: W. Whiston (2min). 47min lOsec.
