TRUCK DRIVERS’ FINE RECORD PA WELLINGTON, May 11. “ One accident causing injury m 60G.000 miles is the excellent accidentfree record of truck drivers in New Zealand,” said the Minister of Transport, Mr opening to-day’s annual conference of the New Zealand Drivers’ Federation. About 80,000,000 people were carried by road transport every year, iaid the Minister. If private motorists could attain even the lowest rate among the federation’s members —one accident every 208,000 miles —New Zealand’s road accident figures would drop considerably, Mr Hackett said.
