BRITONS’ CHEESE RATION INCREASED
LONDON, May 9. The Ministry of Food announced that from May 22 the domestic cheese ration would be increased from ljoz to 2oz a week. Britain's principal
traditional suppliers of cheese in the order of tonnage are New Zealand, Canada, Australia and Holland. All these countries are sending larger supplies this year than last year, and in addition the Food Ministry expects an increase in home production as a result of a favourable milk season.
