EUROPEAN RECOVERY PLAN INDIVIDUAL GOVERNMENTS AND OEEC NZPA—Copyright Rec. 11 p.m. LONDON, Apl. 18. Discussing the problems confronting the Organisation for European Economic Co-operation, the Manchester Guardian says it is still to be seen how far any European Government is prepared to give up its own policies for recovery where they clash with European needs as a whole. “Is Britain, for example, with the boom passing, prepared to use France as an agricultural supplier when the effect of cheaper supplies may be to put some of our over-expanded vegetable growing out of business? Such Suestions must honestly be faced if ie OEEC is to achieve much in its second year,” says the paper.
