MAN KILLED
MOTOR CYCLE CRASHES PILLION RIDER ESCAPES When the motor cycle he was riding struck a power pole on Musselburgh rise last evening, Jeffrey Hall. • a married man, aged 35. of 6 Michie street. Roslyn. was kilied instantly. A pillion rider, Douglas Stuart Boyle, married, aged 41. of 8 Harbour terrace. Ravensbourne. was admitted to the Dunedin Public Hospital suffering from fractured ribs and slight concussion. His condition was reported to ' e satisfactory last night. The fatality happened about 6 o’clock, on the corner where Anderson’s Bay road turns into Musselburgh rise. There was no traffic about' at the time, and according to eye-wit-nesses’ accounts, the motor cycle failed fo negotiate the turn and went straight across the road /to. crash against a power pole. -
