MONEY BIRD AT LAST

FIRST WIN FOR MONTHS SOLID PERFORMANCE Money Bird recorded his first win for nearly 18 months when he led home the Stewards’ Handicap field on the first day of the Beaumont meeting on Saturday. The veteran Paper Money gelding revelled in the going, coming home one of the easiest winners of' the day. The meeting was held in wintry weather before a moderate attendance. The track was soft and very greasy on the turns. The gate takings amounted to £247, compared with £293 last year.
