WORLD WHEAT PRICE
INTERNATIONAL AGREEMENT THIRTY-NINE NATIONS SIGN NZPA—Copyright WASHINGTON, Apl. 15. The international wheat agreement has been signed by 39 of the 42 nations which indicated they would do so. To-day is the last day for signing, and Mexico and Peru have appointments at the State Department to affix their signatures. The intentions of Paraguay are unknown, but she has until midnight to take action. Governments have nominally until July 1 to ratify whei'e necessary, but this date may be extended by the new international wheat council which is to be established. The administrative sections of the agreement come into effect on July 1. and the operative sections not later than September 1. The agreement is for four years, with a maximum price of 1 dollar 80 cents over the whole period and a minimum price of 1 dollar 5® cents in the first® year, declining 10 cents each yeaf. The participants agree to export and import 456.283.389 bushels each year.
