HOMING PIGEONS
The Oamaru Homing Pigeon Club flew a young bird race from Christchurch on Saturday. Mr A. Bailey liberated the birds into a strong south wind, which slowed down the velocity considerably. Results: G. Napier's Morning Light, velocity 840 yards per minute, 1; C. B. Butcher's Miss Muriel, 837 yards, 2; A. L. Macrae’s Bon Tie, 762 yards, 3.
