MAORI HILL SOCCER TEAM EASY WIN AGAINST HOTSPURS Maori Hill easily accounted f<-. the visiting Invercargill Hotspurs team in a Soccer match at Prospect Park on Saturday, winning by 5 goals to 1. Several new players were included in Ihe Maori Hill team, which gave a particularly promising display for so early in the season. E. Gamble, the insideleft. who played for Watersiders last year, shaped exceptionally well and was prominent in most of the scoring movements. He combined effectively with Shields, the left-wing. . The Hotspurs were a mixed side. There were several likely players, but on the whole, the team appeared to be lacking in fitness and practice.
