UNDER-SEA CABLE REPAIRS
PA AUCKLAND, Apl. 15. Having repaired the Suva cable, the Matai, operating under charter of the Marine Department, will now take on additional cable and overhaul the Nor-folk-Suva cable, according to advice from the Postmas'ler-general, Mr Hackett. This cable is still carrying normal traffic, but rubbing action of the sea in the difficult coral bottom is affecting the Norfolk Island section close to the shore, he added.
