NATIONAL PARTY
ST. KILDA ELECTORATE The fourth annual meeting of the St. Kilda electorate of the National Party was held at the party centre on Wednesday, evening, when delegates from all branches attended. The retiring chairman, Mr W. R. Sellar, referred in his report to the encouraging result of the year’s work and expressed confidence in the future of the electorate in view of its sound position in regard to organisation, finance, and membership. The activities of the women’s section were outlined by the president, Mrs J. Campbell, and Miss Pamela Munro reported on the steady progress being made by the junior section. The election of officers resulted: Chairman, Mr J. L. Laurie; deputy chairman, Mr W. F. McCay. Messrs J. G. Henderson, J. L. Laurie, W. R. Sellar, and Misses M. Pearce and P. Munro were appointed delegates to the divisional annual meeting, and Mrs J. Campbell, Messrs ,W. F. McCay and J, L. Laurie, and Miss P. Munro delegates to the Dominion conference. During the evening the chairman of the' Otago and Southland Division, Mr J. G. Henderson, gave an interesting address dealing with the prospects of National Party candidates in the various electorates.
