ACCIDENTS AT SEA

SIX SHIPS INVOLVED Rec. 9.30 p.m LONDON, Apl. 14: Three sea accidents were reported to-day round Britain’s coastline. One ship sank, another exploded, and the third went aground. The 300-ton vessel Christina Dawn went aground at the mouth of Irvine Harbour and exploded. Nobody was on board at the time. The Dublin steamer City of Waterford sapk after a collision in dense fog in the English Channel with the Greek steamer Her crew were saved. Almost at tKe same time the Norwegian tanker Brali went aground on the. treacherous Goodwin sands and sent out an SOS for' lifeboats.

A New York message says the tanker Pennsylvania Sun, of 11,000 tons, caught fire after a collision with tho freighter American Attorney, of 7607 tons, in Delaware Bay. Rescue ships and a seaplane were sent to assist.

Reports said that the fire in the Pennsylvanian Sun spread to the hold and burned six hours before members of the crew controlled it. They risked danger of explosion from oil fumes as they worked. A fire on board the freighter was controlled without much difficulty.
