Stock Slaughtered.—For the month ended February 28, 207 cattle, 934 sheep, 46 lambs and 41 pigs were slaughtered at the Oamaru Borough Council’s Abattoirs. Wall Damaged.—ln his report to come before the monthly meeting of the Oamaru Borough Council, Mr John Tait states that portion of the second terrace wall in Severn street had developed “ quite a bulge ” because of erosion caused by a burst pipe carrying the storm water from above. Library Roll.—The Municipal Library roll stands at 2880 members (2070 in the town, 245 in the country, and 565 juveniles) states Miss H. M. Ironside in her monthly report which will come before the borough council to-morrow night.
