CONSUL’S EXPULSION
ACTION BY CZECHOSLOVAKIA BRITAIN STUDYING POSITION LONDON, Mar. 24. Britain is considering what action to take over the detention of Captain Wildash, the British Consul in Prague, who was yesterday ordered to leave Czechoslovakia by the Czech authorities, said the Under-Secretary of State, Major C. P. Mayhew. in the House of Commons. “We shall not be content to leave matters where they are now,” he said. “I shall be ready to make a statement when we have considered what action is appropriate.” Major Mayhew said the British Ambassador in Prague had been told that Captain Wildash had plotted against the State, and had been in touch \Vth other plotters. The Ministry of e Foreign Affairs had refused to furnish proofs substantiating the charges. “So far as can be ascertained there is no truth in the assertions, but the Ambassador felt obliged to advise Captian Wildash to leave Czechoslovakia at once,” said Major Mayhew.
