As the result of recent rain the track at Awapuni will be in good order for the opening day of the Manawatu Racing Club’s autumn meeting to-day. Big fields of good quality are carded and those likely to race well include:— 11.15: Kairanga Hurdles.—Master Raymond, Batley, Roman Duke. 11.57: Autumn Plate. —First division: Rakish. Proclaim- Second division: Wave Crest, Guerdon. 12.42: King George Handicap.—Avenger. Liebestraum, Indian Song. 1.27: Cloverlea' Nursery Handicap.— Super Snipe, Birdman, Sweet Spray. 2.12: Adderstone Handicap. Flying Bridge, Pitoitoi, Buchanan. 2.57: Te Wanaka Hack Handicap.—lvanhoe, Hostess, Gay Fellow. 3.45: Johnston Memorial Handicap The Pagan, Wild Note, Air Belle. 4.35: Lockwood Hack Handicap.—Vane Master, Bar Garrette, Brightness.
