MILITARY OPERATIONS
Rec. 11 p.m. BATAVIA, Mar. 24. A review of the week’s militaryoperations in Java issued by Dutch headquarters reported numerous actions in which the Indonesian guerrillas suffered heavy losses in men and arms. In one mopping-up operation south-east of Malang, 85 guerrillas were killed. The guerrillas also suffered heavy losses in a moppingup action around Soerakarta. In Sumatra the Dutch reported increasing co-operation by the population.
