WHOLE-HEARTED SUPPORT
MR CHURCHILL’S COMMENT ON ATLANTIC PACT NZPA—Copyright Rec. 9.30 p.m. NEW YORK, Mar. 23. Mr Winston Churchill said to-day, as he arrived for a visit to the United States, that he gave “ whole-hearted support to the Atlantic Pact.” He said however, that he would say nothing more than that about international affairs. When the liner docked, 175 people, mostly women, demonstrated near the pier, chanting, “Go home, Mr Churchill, we want peace.” Mr Churchill will dine with the President and Mrs Truman in Washington to-morrow.
