SECOND GOLDEN GATE BRIDGE
Rec. 11 p.m. NEW YORK, Mar. 23. The famous San Francisco Golden Gate Bridge, which is the world’s longest suspension bridge with a span of 4200 feet, will be duplicated. The Californian Tollbridge Authority voted to-day for an identical bridge to parallel the present span. The new bridge will probably be begun in 1950 and finished within four years. Growing traffic has made the second bridge necessary.
