RECORD BRITISH BUDGET SURPLUS
NZPA Special Correspondent LONDON, Mar. 23. As the result of largely increased revenue payments during the past 10 days the Exchequer’s Budget surplus now stands at the record figure of £964.900.000, nearly £200.000.000 more than the surplus anticipated by the Chancellor of the Exchequer Sir Stafford Cripps. in his Budget speech last April.
