When oranges are to be used in a salad, cover them, unpeeled, with boiling water, and stand aside for five minutes. When the can is opened the paint will be ready for use • • • Did vou know that, a loaf of bread keeps fresh twice as long in a refrigerator? * * » Rust stains on porcelain or enamelled sinks or baths may be removed by covering marks with kerosene for about four hours, then washing well with strong soap and pielng hot water. Another method is to rub the stains with a slice of raw lemon. Leave for half an hour and wash with soap and hot water.
