Miss Mallory Boyd, of Mosgiel, is at present on holiday at Kaikoura. Miss D. Aubrey left yesterday for the north en route to Australia. Mrs R. Burrell, of Marton, who has been a visitor to Dunedin, left yesterday on her homeward journey. Mrs L. Bralthwaite left yesterday morning on the first stage of a trip to Australia. Mrs C. O, Mathias has returned from Wellington, where she attended a conference of the Tuberculosis Association Miss Ann Stevenson, of St. Leonards, who has been on holiday on the West Coast, Is expected home during the weekend. Mr and Mrs H. Hugo, of Masterton, who have been touring the Southern Lakes district, left Dunedin for the north on Tuesday. Miss Jacqueline Williams, who has been the guest of Mrs A. C. Dick, has returned to her home in Wellington. Mrs J. M. Gordon, of Burren, New South Wales, who returned yesterday from Queenstown, is the guest of Mrs Eric Skinner, of Rawhiti street Mrs A. Lambert, who has been staying with Mrs L. C. Morrison, of St. Clair, will leave to-day for Christchurch and Nelson. Mr and Mrs Keith Marshall, of Perth. Western Australia, are the guests of Mr and Mrs W J. Mclnnes, of Wilson avenue. St. Clair. Mr and Mrs S. A. Gibson, of Tennyson street, gave a 5 o’clock party on Tuesday for 'Mr and Mrs A. C. Dick, who are leaving to take up residence in Wellington The WDFF and the Women’s Institute will hold a co-ordinating meeting this afternoon in the Pioneer Women’s Memorial Hall to hear a talk by Mrs J M. Gordon, of Burren, New South Wales. Mr and Mrs W. Kennedy have been visiting their parents in Dunedin before embarking from Lyttelton to sail for England, on the Empire Star. Miss Eunice Brown, Otago physical welfare officer, is at present organising a camp of business girls, which will be held at Lake Manapouri from April 15 to 19. Activities will include a launch trip to the head of the lake, a motor drive to the Divide, from which the parties may tramp to Lake Howden and up the Key summit. About 30 girls will make the trip. Mrs Stanley Wakefield, who was the speaker at the Dunedin Travel Club on Tuesday morning, delighted her audience with one of the most interesting addresses heard for some time by members. She took as her subject her experiences as a speaker attached to the International Wool Secretariat in war-time England. Miss Helen Dalgety sang two songs, and Mrs A. H. Allen welcomed a number of visitors, who included Mrs Fryer (Ulster), Mrs Hoyler (Melbourne), Mrs Aitken (London), Miss Thresher (England), Mrs Burrell (Marton), Mrs U. R. Tait (Napier), Mrs Forrest (Honolulu), Miss Gascoyne (England), Miss McPhie (Owaka). Mrs Reed (Wellington), and Mr Bourchier (Invercargill).
