WAITAKI BOYS PLAYING AT CHRISTCHURCH Daily Times Special Service CHRISTCHURCH. Mar. 23. The annual cricket match between Christchurch and Waitaki Boys’ High Schools was drawn Christchurch made 281 in the first innings. Waitaki replied with 101 and followed on in the second innings. Waitaki made 283, leaving Christchurch an hour and five minutes in which to make 104 for a win. Christchurch made 30 in the first 15 minutes, but the' bowlers kept the remaining batsmen subdued and at stumps the side had made 77 for 5. The principal scorers in Waitaki’s second innings were I. D. McPherson (87 not out), I. N. Burrows (57), J. Carleton (35) and C. P Johnston (27).
