DUNEDIN FRENCH CLUB
At the meeting of the Dunedin French Club, in the Girls’ High School on Monday evening, the annual report showed that the interest of members during the last 12 months had not fallen off in any way. The membership stood at 40, and in addition there was a junior section formed of two free members from each o£ the secondary schools. The standard of the programmes had been well maintained, and the club had attempted to play its full part in sending relief to where it was needed in France. Office-bearers elected were:—Patron, M. Henry Rollet, Charge d’Affaires for France; vice-patrons, Sir Donald Cameron and Mr A. N. Haggitt, Consular agent for Dunedin; president, Mme. Bellugue; vice-presidents—Mrs Kerr, Miss V. M. Barron, Professor Silver and Dr B. H. Howard; secretary and treasurer, Mr T. J. Arnold; auditor, Mr R. Fraser; committee —Miss MacQuaid, Mrs Hubble, Dr J. P. Dunlop, the Rev. J Simpson, Messrs Bellugue (2), I. G. Garden and F. A. Charlton. Mr R. Fraser presided over the meeting.
