RATES OUTSTANDING
Borough rates outstanding when the Oamaru Borough Council office closed last night amounted to £B2B 13s. Yesterday was the last day on which rates could be paid to avoid the 10 per cent, penalty. Last year rates outstanding on which the 10 per cent, penalty had to be paid amounted to over £BOO.
