URANIUM SUPPLIES ASSURED FOR THE INDEFINITE FUTURE

Rec. 9 p.m. NEW YORK, Dec. 16. Mr David Lilienthal, chairman of the United States Atomic Energy Commission, told reporters to-day that world supplies of uranium for the manufacture of the atomic bomb and the development of other uses for atomic energy were assured for “ the indefinite future.” He asserted: “We do not expect that there will be an unlimited supply, but there is no sound basis for the conclusion that uranium supplies will not be available for an indefinite period.”
