DRUG WITHIN ACT

COMPOUNDED ASPIRIN TABLETS .

APPEAL COURT JUDGMENT PA WELLINGTON, Dec. 17. The Court of Appeal to-day gave an important judgment concerning the sale of A.P.C. tablets in chain stores, in a test case of Woolworths (New Zealand), Limited v. V. Wynne. The court dismissed the appeal of Woolworths, Limited on all grounds and held that A.P.C. tablets were a drug to which Section 32 of the Pharmacy Act applied, and as such could be sold only by registered chemist shops and not by chain stores or grocery shops.
