LEND-LEASE SHIPPING
WASHINGTON, Dec. 15.
Mr Robert Lovett, the United States Acting Secretary of State, said to-day that the Soviet Union had agreed to return to.the United States the three ice breakers and the 28 frigates supplied to the Soviet under lend-lease during the Second World War. The Russian agreement was in response to several Notes which the American Government sent to the Soviet. The United States had sought since 1946 to obtain the return of the vessels.
