PRESBYTERIAN YOUNG MEN’S BIBLE CLASSES
Officers elected at the annual meeting of the Otago District Committee of the New Zealand Presbyterian Young Men's Bible Class Union were:—President, Mr R. D. Moffat; secretary, Mr F. Mitchell; treasurer, Mr W. R. Cranefield; vice-presi-dent and sports agent, Mr E. Green; vicepresident and Outlook agent, Mr I. G. Douglas; vice-president and badge agent, Mr G. Manson; publicity secretary, Mr K. Bertenshaw; Publicity Committee —Messrs D. U. Halligan, R. Christie. D. J. McFarlane and G. Mitchell; missions agent, Mr L. R. Murcott; press agent, Mr Douglas; honorary vice-presidents—Messrs T. K. Cowan, J L. Gregory, R. H. Gardiner, C. K. Melville, H. Davies. E. J. Jansen, M. Ryburn, and 'F. Cowan; representative of executive on Forward Move Committee, Mr E. Winter; Forward Move Committee, Messrs F. Cowan, I. D. McGregor, F. Newlands and Green; Presbytery Youth Committee, Messrs Moffat and W. Lindsay; Permanent Camp Committee—Messrs Farquharson, B. H. Guthrie, F. Cowan and Lindsay; representatives on Youth Committee, National Council of Churches, Messrs Newlands and McFarlane; representatives of District Committee on Presbyterian Bible Class Harrier Club. Messrs Manson and F. K. Dolphin; auditor, Mr (f. D. Hanning. The annua] report showed that class membership in the district totalled 713. compared with 702 a year ago. Details of the work of the year, including progress with the Forward Move and activities in connection with Easter camp, the Harrier Club, choral competitions, sports tournaments, the newsletter, broadcasting, missions and the P.S.S.A. Christmas treat were aso listed.
