TAP LOAN
NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT HEAVY PROGRAMME AHEAD Special to the Daily Times WELLINGTON, Nov. 18. A large programme for the Otagc and Southland districts is contained ir an outline of national developmenl plans which the Minister of Finance Mr Nash, gave to-night when seeking Sublic support for the 3 per cent Government Tap Loan now open. Mr Nash said that a large amoun of money was required to implemenj this programme which was part ol the orderly and normal developmenl of the country. It was proposed t| use public investments in the currenl tap loan for this purpose. It was thl proper procedure to use the saving! of the people to provide amenities _fo| the people. It was not only logical but most desirable, because it checked inflation. Moreover, it was a gilt! edged and readily negotiable invest! ment with a guaranteed return and thl money was put to work in the mo! effective way. I
