Reorganisation Of United States Army

N.Z.P.A.—Copyright WASHINGTON, Oct. 29. A top-level reorganisation of the United States Army “to place it on a peace-or-war footing,” and designed to prevent confusion in an emergency, will take place on November 15. Announcing this to-day, the Secretary of the Army. Mr Kenneth Roy all, said the new organisation will lie between the army’s organisation in the Second World War and that which has been effective since the middle of 1946. The major changes are the creating of posts for a vice-chief of staff and two deputy chiefs of Staff, and the regrouping of the technical, administrative, public information and supply services.
