An unofficial cricket match between Palmerston and Dunback, played at Palmerston on Saturday, resulted:— Dunback 118 (S. Wilson 33, E. Glover 28, A. G. Wilson 12; A. Forbes four for 40, J. Vinnecombe three for 23, and T. R. Smith two for 11). Palmerston 102 (T. R. Smith 25. P. Ellis 25, A. Forbes 23; E. Stanley five for 24, S. Wilson two f °A between Palmerston juniors and Palmerston District High School was won by School by 43 runs. Scores: School 111 (A. Jackson 26, J. Brown 24, J Paul 21, Gunn two for 7). Palmerston juniors 68 (M. McCabe 28; J. Paul four for 30, J. Brown four for 20). The Waihemo Cricket Sub-association s competition will begin next Saturday.
