SMOKE POTS
Sir,—My attention 1 has been, drawn to m article in your issue of October 20 regarding the y smoke pots for fighting frost in orchards and the nuisance caused by their use. I would point out to fruitgrowers and others concerned that I m vented patented and submitted to the Government (Department of Agriculture) as long ago as 1937, an improved method of dealing with this menace. My firepot is not unknown to fruitgrowers in Central otago over these years and I regret that owing to Government s refusal to recognise it or co-operate, I am unable to place it on the market in the meantime!—i am, etc., James Wood.
