ASSOCIATES ELECTED P.A. WELLINGTON, Oct. 28. At the recent meeting of the council of the New Zealand Institute of Chemistry held in Dunedin, Mr S. G. Brooker, of Auckland, was elected a Fellow of the institute. Mr Brooker is at present chairman of the Auckland branch and editor of the journal of the institute. The following were elected associates:—Messrs O J. Baker, E. G. Brooker, A. P. Camden-Cooke, A. R. Caverhill, F. B. Hurst, J. S. Pollard, D. J. Ross, H. P. Rothbaum and I. Ting (all of Wellington). L. P. J. Chapman, G. A. Nicholls, E. J. Searle and T. J. Sprott (all of Auckland), R.. M. Dolby (Palmerston North), F. Hurst (Christchurch), J. D. W. Monigatti and O. K. Sewell (both of Ruakura), and J. Murray (Dunedin).
