HANDICAP AT AUCKLAND IWO JIMA BEATS BUSTANY P.A. AUCKLAND. Oct. 16. The Auckland Racing Club’s spring meeting was concluded at Ellerslie ii> showery weather. The course was heavy, and there was a good attendance. The totalisator turnover for the day was £170,124 10s, compared with £178,276 for the same day last year. Following the running of the Spring Handicap, an inquiry was held into the falling of Peter Nelson in the second division. After evidence from several riders had been heard it was found that the fall was accidental, and no further action was taken. P. Harrison, rider of Lord Revel in the same race, was questioned about his handling of the horse, and his explanation was accepted. The details are as follow:
