BRITISH OIL SEARCH UNDER CHINA SEA
■r LONDON, Oct. 14. Sir Godfrey Mitchell, one of Britain’s. foremost. constructional engineers,' left this week for Borneo to supervise oil-drilling operations under the bed of the China Sea. His departure emphasises Britain’s intense efforts to develop new supplies of oil from non-dollar sources. Russia is known to be energetically drilling in the shallows of the Caspian Sea.
