Ministerial The Minister of Marketing, Mr Cullen, will arrive in Dunedin by air this morning to attend the official opening of the new 'milk treatment centre at Logan Point. He will return to Wellington on Monday. Drs J. C. Eccles. G. C. Billing and C. M. Focken will leave to-day to attend the conference of the Academic Board of the University of New Zealand in Christchurch on Monday. Drs F. G. Soper and V. E. Galway have already left for Christchurch. Mr Bartholomew Patrick Sheehan was admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court by Mr Justice Christie yesterday on the application.of Mr J. P. Ward. The Director of Milk Marketing. Mi H. H. Innes, arrived in Dunedin yesterday morning. He will attend the opening of the milk; treatment centre at Logan Point this afternoon, and will leave for Wellington on Monday. A motion expressing appreciation of the contribution made to harbour board affairs by Mr F. W. Reid, former general manager of the Wellington Harbour Board, was carried at the conference of the Harbours’ Association of New Zealand in Dunedin yesterday. Mr W. B. Richards, national president of the New Zealand Tramways’ Union, will leave this morning to attend a meeting of the National Executive on Monday. From Tuesday to Friday he will be engaged in conciliation proceedings in connection with a new award for tramwaymen. A motion recording appreciation of the services of the assistant secretary of the Harbours’ Association of New Zealand, Mr F. W. Ward, was passed at the annual conference yesterday. Mr Ward, who has also resigned from the position of assistant secretary of the Wellington Harbour Board, has been associated with the conferences for almost 40 years.
