THE DUNEDIN BAR
Sir.—During this centennial year, no mention has been made of the unique history of the barristers associated with the Dunedin Bar. Dunedin was in the early days the strongest Bar in New Zealand, and from its ranks more members were elevated to the Su^s?*L C -Sew Bench than from any other Bar in New Zealand. At one time , wa ®. invariable practice to make the appointments to the Judicial Bench from this centre. In addition to this, the local courts were presided over by Sir Joshua Williams, the greatest of all New Zea la of the d !lder generation of lawyers, who can forget the exquisite courtesy of Sir Joshua Williams or Sir two perfect types of English gentlemen. Hoping this omission will be rectified before centennial year is over,—l am^etc^
