Generous Legacy For Sufferers In London Blitz
P.A. AUCKLAND, Aug. 17. An Auckland woman willed her entire estate of £3OOO to permanently disabled British soldiers and seamen and people in London crippled by German bombing. The testatrix, Elizabeth Richards, who resided at Newton, was in her seventies when she died last month. She left £250 to the King George’s Fund for Seamen in London and a similar sum to the British Empire Service League in London. The residue of the estate will assist crippled or permanently disabled people in London whose disabilities were caused by the blitz and flying bombs.
