TRADES CERTIFICATION
BOARD TO BE ESTABLISHED P.A. WELLINGTON; Aug. 17. The establishment of a New Zealand Trades Certification Board to conduct examinations, and issue certificates for competency in various' trades is provided for in the Trades' Certification Bill introduced and read a first time in the House of Representatives to-night. The board is to consist of three persons appointed on the recommendation of the Director of Education, one of whom shall be chairman. two persons nominated by each of the Employers’ Federation, the Federation of Labour and the Technical School Teachers’ Association and one person nominated by each of the Electrical Wiremen’s Registration Board and .the Motor Trade Certification Board and the Commissioner of Apprenticeship.
