Acquisition in Oamaru Discussed
The question of acquiring a committee room for women’s organisations was discussed at the monthly meeting of the Oamaru branch of the National Council of Women, and it was decided to obtain the rental use of a town property subject to the Oamaru Borough Council's approval , . _. , Miss Lindsay was in the chair. Final arrangements for the display of 50 Chinese garments at the Polytechnic on August 23 were made These will ultimately be forwarded to CORSO. A committee was set up to make arrangements for the entertaining of overseas brides, with a view to forming a social club.
