FORMATION OF J FORCE ASSOCIATION GESTURE FROM N.Z.R.S.A. P.A. WELLINGTON, Aug. 11. Every encouragement, assistance, and advice is to be given by the N.Z.R.S.A. to ex-members of J Force to form their own association. This was decided at a meeting of the Dominion Executive Committee held in Wellington. . . . ~ The matter was brought under discussion by a request from ex-J Force personnel, who are desirous of forming a Dominion-wide J Force Association, and requesting advice as to the best way to set about it. The N.Z.R.S.A. has decided that it will offer every facility of its 102 branches to assist in the formation of a J Force association in a similar procedure to that adopted when the N.Z.R.S.A. successfully fostered the formation of the Home Servicemen’s Association, states a report issued by the Dominion Executive Committee. N.Z.R.S.A. branches throughout the country will be asked to co-operate with local J Force personnel ana convene meetings at which interim committees will be set up and delegates to a Dominion conference arranged for. Providing ex-J Force personnel are prepared to follow the same course as was followed by home service personnel, the N.Z.R.S.A. will defray the entire cost of the first Dominion conference, including transport and accommodation.. By this step the committee is implementing a resolution at the recent Dominion conference, Which instructed the N.Z.R.S.A. to assist returned members of J Force in the formation of an association of their own if they so desire.
