TRAMWAYS UNION MEETING
Sir, —On Sunday last the Dunedin branch of the New Zealand Tramways Union held their half-yearly meeting at the car sheds, when Mr P. A. Hansen addressed the meeting. I am wondering why a full report of that meeting, concerning the levy, etc., was not published ,in the press when one of your reporters attended the meeting. I am correct in stating that the four members concerned'iri the taamway levy case paid their £1 each under protest. I myself attended the meaning, and in fairness to , the four members concerned a full report of the meeting should have been published in the press. -I am, etc., ’ Unionist. [We did not, advisedly, report comment concerning matters in which legal action is pending. The position of the four men in respect of payment of the levy is dealt with elsewhere in our columns.—Ed., O.D.T.] .
