THEFT FROM BANK
P.A. WELLINGTON. Aug. 4. The Lower Hutt branch of the National Bank of New Zealand was broken into last night and a small sum of money taken from a drawer. An attempt to open the safe failed. A cleaner, on arrival this morning, found the back door had been opened by a hand having been inserted through a panel of the door and the key manipulated.
