OTATARO PLAYER’S SUCCESS The annual competition for the King’s Cup, an open event consisting of 36 holes of stroke play, and controlled by the St. Clair Golf Club, was won by A. T. Hunter (Otarara) with a net aggregate of 137. H. J. Rackley (St. Clair) was runner-up with 144. Other trophies were won as follows: Best gross aggregate: C. B. Wight (St. Clair) 78—76—154. Winner morning round: I. W. Mearns (St. Clair) 87—18—69. Runner-up morning round: L. H. Carter (Chisholm Park) 86—15—71. Winner afternoon round: N. W. Allen (St. Clair) 81—12—69. Runner-up afternoon round: A. F. Ross (Otago) 83—12—71.
