GREAT NORTHERN TO BROOKBY SONG TIGER TAN’WINS KING GEORGE P.A. AUCKLAND, June 7. The Auckland Racing Club’s winter meeting ,was continued Co-day in fine weather before an attendance of 51,000. The track was dead. 1 The totalisator handled £270,679 10s, against £378,506 on the second day last year. The investments for the two days total £514,446 10s, against £499,604 10s. / Taking the lead just before the ’completion of the first round, Brookby Song scored an eight-lengths victory in the Great Northern Steeplechase from Town Survey, with Abbey Lu a length away third.
